Canadian Clay & Glass Gallery
The Canadian Clay & Glass Gallery is the pride and cultural jewel of the City of Waterloo, recognized nationally for its critically acclaimed exhibitions, lectures, conferences, classes, workshops, tours, and specialized library, archive, and research centre. It is home to an extensive and ever expanding collection of historical and contemporary Canadian ceramic, glass and enamel art which conserves and promotes a rich and active component of our Canadian cultural heritage.
The Centre in the Square

Gallery on the Grand
The gallery represents many talented Canadian and International artists, working in a wide range of artistic media, subjects and styles. The gallery features internationally renowned artists, Michael Fatali, Loet Vanderveen and Yousuf Karsh. A large collection of artwork is for sale in the gallery and a variety of gallery services and custom framing is available on site. The Gallery is also a unique setting for hosting individual and corporate receptions.
Homer Watson House & Gallery
In 1855 Homer Watson, one of Canada's first internationally recognized artists, was born in the village of Upper Doon, in a small house still standing at the corner of Tilt Drive and Doon Village Road. The young Watson developed his skills in drawing and painting at an early age and learned how to describe the world around him in sketches and in finished oils. Today, the home of this illustrious man is open to the public and here, one can experience the vision of this great Canadian artist.
Kitchener Waterloo Art Gallery
The KW Art Gallery connects people and ideas through art. The gallery welcomes 4,500 students yearly and the highly interactive Tour and Studio Workshops connect current exhibitions to the curriculum. The programs build critical thinking skills and inspire students in their own art making. The gallery also provides a new in-school program Think Art which offers a range of workshops for elementary students.
Kitchener Waterloo Childrens Museum
The Children's Museum regularly features new exhibits and school programs. A not-for-profit charity, the museum relies on the community support to continue programs, exhibits and attract world-class special exhibits such as Jane Goodall's Discovering Chimpanzees featured in 2008.
KW Little Theatre
KWLT is dedicated to providing theatre in the community. If you want to get involved with anything from directing to acting to technical work to front of house or just reading the occasional play, give them a call.
Rotunda Gallery
City of Kitchener Rotunda Gallery Exhibition Program is located on the ground floor of City Hall. The Rotunda Gallery features monthly exhibits of regional artists' work. This open-concept gallery welcomes visitors seven days a week. Practicing visual artists from the Kitchener Waterloo region are encouraged to consider the Rotunda Gallery. The gallery has a tradition of exhibiting one student group show each year, and every second year features the work of Contemporary Art Forum Kitchener and Area (CAFKA).
Waterloo Community Arts Centre (WCAC)
The WCAC is a not-for-profit, volunteer-run, charitable organization promoting all forms of art programs in the community. Artistic activities include: performances, classes, workshops, special events and art exhibitions. WCAC offers programs for children, youth, adults and seniors of all artistic disciplines and level of achievement from amateur to professional at affordable cost. WCAC is housed in a charming heritage building called The Button Factory.
