uwlogo.gif The University of Waterloo is known internationally for its engineering, science, and computer science programs, the University of Waterloo is the sixth largest university in Ontario. With approximately 22,000 full-time undergrads, 3,000 grad students and another 3,000 in part time studies, the total number of students is close to 28,000.  The university is beginning construction of the Mike and Ophelia Lazaridis Quantum-Nano Centre (QNC). The new centre will be home to not one but two forefront areas of science and engineering – quantum information technology and nanotechnology.  The RIM founder and his wife contributed $50 million to the university, $22 million of which is being directed to the centre and the overall $160-million investment is designed to propel the university and the country to the forefront of the science.

laurier_logo.gif Founded in 1911, Wilfrid Laurier is a premier university and renowned for attracting students who want to succeed.  Located just down university avenue, a stone's throw away from its counterpart UofW, the university is known in particular for its undergrad program in its School of Business & Economics and  is one of Canada’s largest Business schools, and also among the most respected.  A smaller institution, with small class sizes and a sense of community second to none Laurier offers a broad range of full and part-time graduate and undergraduate degree programs to over 11,000 students through 7 faculties and the Faculty of Arts is the largest faculty. The Faculty of Music has the only Masters of Music Therapy program in Canada, the Faculty of Science,  Education, Social Work and Graduate Studies. Laurier has a unique, interdisciplinary approach to learning and allows students to combine majors in completely different fields. Students choose Laurier for its academic reputation, approachable professors, sense of community, and the co-op program.

conestogo college logo.jpg Conestoga, established in 1967, has been the number one rated College in Ontario for nine of the last ten years.  From humble early beginnings as a community college in 1967, Conestoga has risen to become one of Canada's premier polytechnic institutes. For nine of the last ten years independent research has named Conestoga as the number one publicly funded college in Ontario.  The largest campus, Doon, in Kitchener is located right next to highway 401 on 138 acres of land and offers a full range of programming. The Waterloo campus is a centre of excellence for skilled trades and culinary and the Guelph campus has emerged as a provincial leader in motive power trades. There are also smaller campuses in Stratford and Cambridge offering academic upgrading and career focused programs.
